Closeup of original free machine embroidery of the Chalk Paths above Worthing. Original was inspired by my love of the works by Eric Ravilious and worked over layered natural fabrics - silks and calicos which are then painted before being embroidered with rayon threads.
The view was taken on a favourite walk down from Cissbury Ring via the golf course. Worthing and the sea can been seen in the distance. I particularly love this spot with the kink in the path promising more views around the corner.
