Original artwork in paint and thread of the lovely village of Bosham in West Sussex at high tide. The artwork is worked over layered natural fabrics - calicos, silk noil and silk organza to produce a textured background, which is then painted before being free machine embroidered in natural rayon threads. I love this view across the creek at high tide, with the ancient Saxon church in the background and as all the little buildings at the water's edge jostle to keep their feet out of the water!
