New original artwork in paint and thread of Worthing Pier. I loved the tangle and rhythm of the ironwork under the pier dipping toes into the sea lapping underneath. Piece is worked over natural fabrics - calico , silk noil and silk organza, which are layered to form a textured background and then painted before being free motion embroidered in natural rayon threads.
